由於年糕材料是由粳米跟糯米按一定比例混合製成，可根據個人喜好調整兩者比例，喜歡吃軟的可提高糯米的比例，喜歡吃硬的則相反，所以在街市不同擋口買來，當然配方有所不同糕身也會不同.

其中一底又軟又黏，可以放冰箱冷藏後會硬些較好切塊，自己可調整決定。
